We are proud to announce the release of our debut CD, Goddess Mandala,
on Moon & Star Records.
In this hour of original music, you will find songs of celebration, songs of love, songs of loss, songs about initiation, and about life.
This CD celebrates the Goddess in song.

Here are some song descriptions that you won't find in the liner notes.
Round and Round
Wendy Sheridan writes: I was drumming in a drum frenzy at a Beltane party, and after 3 or so hours of drumming, my spirit was transported to this place in a magical forest where there was a bonfire and dancers, and all manner of things. This song commemorates that experience, and incorporates elements from the closing of our Wiccan rituals. We say "The circle is open, but never broken. Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again. Blessed be."

Calling the Quarters
This is a song of invocation. In the opening of a Wiccan ritual the four directions (East, South, West and North) and elements (Air, Fire, Water, Earth) are called to join the circle as the candles are lit. You are also invited into the circle with the Goddess and the God in Perfect Love and Perfect Trust.
Guest guitarist Jim Incollingo adds his bluesy melodies to the endeavor.

In the Belly of the Mother
This song commemorates the major Sabbat of Imbolc (the return of the sun). This Sabbat occurs on February 2nd every year. It is a time for cleansing and celebration, for we notice that the days are getting longer, and spring will soon be here. It is the festival of the Goddess Brigit, patroness of poets, bards, and musicians, Goddess of the fire: candles, forges and the internal fires of creativity, Protector of pregnant women, midwives and women in labor. We dedicate this song to Her.
In the Belly of the Mother features Rich Sheridan on lead vocals.

On Eventide of May
This previously unrecorded work is from Daxe's catalog, written by Daxe and Michelle Augustyniak. Beltane, or the Rites of Spring, is a fertility festival. It is the celebration of the Sacred Marriage of the God and the Goddess. It is the time of planting in the fields. The celebrations can be wild and passionate. And sometimes there is a price to pay.
Wendy Sheridan sings lead vocals on this track.
When Gaia Wears Purple
Another song of Daxe's from his "One Vote Zygote" CD. We just had to do our version of it. The Old Womyn of the Forest shows off her creativity.

Shaman's Dreams
This instrumental peice is a rythmic excursion from the brains of Daxe and Vonorn. A different version of this song appears on the Daxe CD "God Doesn't Play with Dice".
Wizardwood
This is a song about an initiation. It is not based on any particular Wiccan or Pagan
tradition. Rather, it is a metaphor for self-discovery and personal and spiritual growth.
The theme of spending some time alone in a sacred place where you confront yourself and
learn to come to grips with your dark side is a universal one.

Rich Sheridan is the featured vocalist on this track, and guest artist Bruce Katz provides the wonderful guitar work. (Bruce and Rich performed together in the original heavy metal band Axcelerator - Click here for Air Raid, by Axcelerator).
Baby I'm Falling
The Wizard from the previous song is ready to return to the "mundane" world and find the magic that is part of everyday living. This song was written as an admission and question to a new love. It is unabashed pop from the song catalog of Wendy Sheridan and Bob Lame.
Bob Lame plays guitar on this one.
Miles Before Dawn
Can you remember a time when all you wanted to do was stay up all night with someone and just
feel good? When you weren't looking for a relationship or a commitment? Then this song (another from the Sheridan/Lame catalog) is for you. (Wendy wants to point out that she loves horn sections - even if they come from a module).
Guest guitarist Bob Lame appears on this track.
Love Has Nine Lives
When everything is dark, this song reminds us that there is light at the end of the tunnel. It was written in the aftermath of a very intense relationship. From the songwriting duo of Sheridan/Lame.

Goddess Mandala
We think no one has attempted something quite like this since the "album sides" of the 70's. During the fifteen minutes of this work, you will hear some familiar Pagan chants, and some melodies that appear in other songs of this album. We also invoke the names of over 150 Goddesses uncovered with the assistance of "Goddesses in World Mythology, a Biographical Dictionary," by Martha Ann & Dorothy Myers Imel. We will be including information about these Goddesses shortly. We invite you to listen and meditate, dance or whatever strikes your fancy.
