Vonorn Multi-Instrumentalist, Producer
Vonorn has seemingly limitless artistic talents. One of the founding members of Music for the Goddess, he was "instrumental" in the creation of our first CD (sorry for the pun, but I couldn't help myself). The project would never have happened without him.
On Goddess Mandala, he played drums, djembe, guitar, ebow, keyboards, and digeridoo (the strange and etherial instrument of the Australian Aborigine). He also recorded and mixed the album, and created the digital composite artwork of the band that appears on the band page and inside our CD.
Vonorn's favorite musicians and bands include Frank Zappa, Peter Gabriel, Yes, ELP, FSOL, Miles Davis, and Tears for Fears. But the biggest influences in his life were his Mother and Father.
He likes "love, creativity and inspiration," and dislikes "ignorance violence, and blind fear." When asked what he wanted total strangers to know about him, Vonorn replied, "I'm fun, zany, and I look forward to meeting you all."
"I admire anyone who has enough love for themselves to stand up and shout to the heavens 'Carpe Diem!' "
As a producer, Vonorn has produced projects for major labels and manufacturers such as Sony, Pananasonic, GHS, MTV, VH1, and RCA, and such notable celebrities as Rosie O'Donnell, F. Previte (Ocsar-winning lyricist of "Dirty Dancing") and Lance Quinn (BonJovi's producer).
Vonorn's music can be heard on Wakefield and Patrick, Earth Spirits, Angelic Suite, Jason Chance, and most recently (besides Goddess Mandala) Wolfsong. You can hear and purchase all of these at www.weird-wonderful.com.
